Terms of service

Last updated 7 October 2026

The terms for connecting your organisation’s knowledge, creating dashboards and using abotcompany’s AI services.

These terms and your organisation

These terms apply to the abotcompany website and services provided by abotcompany Ltd. The services help organisations connect knowledge, build dashboards, retrieve source evidence and supply context to AI assistants. They include features made available under your organisation’s plan or agreement.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept them on its behalf. If you do not have that authority, obtain it before connecting organisation data or enabling actions.

A separate signed customer agreement, order form or data processing agreement takes precedence for its subject matter where it conflicts with these terms. These terms do not give individual users authority to override their organisation’s instructions.

Accounts, administrators and access

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use only accounts you are authorised to access. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or a compromised connection.

Your organisation manages its memberships, roles, projects and authorised connections. Administrators may grant or remove access and manage organisation content. Access to a source or dashboard depends on the applicable permissions; an account does not entitle you to every connected item.

Your organisation is responsible for its users’ activity and for reviewing access when people join, change roles or leave. Do not share individual credentials or bypass access controls.

Customer content and ownership

You and your licensors retain your rights in content supplied to the service. You grant us the rights needed to process that content to provide, maintain, secure and support the service in accordance with the applicable agreement. Processing can include ingestion, storage, indexing, graph construction, retrieval and generating requested results.

You must have the rights, lawful basis and permissions needed to upload or connect content, including personal and confidential information. Do not connect information subject to restrictions the agreed service cannot meet.

As between you and us, we do not claim ownership of your generated results. Third-party rights and applicable law may affect those results, and AI systems may generate similar results for other users. Our software, service design and other intellectual property remain ours or our licensors’.

Connections, third parties and enabled actions

A person connecting a third-party workspace must be authorised to grant the requested access. The connected account, provider permissions and organisation configuration determine what can be accessed. Directory sync and content ingestion serve different purposes; enabling one does not mean every content source or action is enabled.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, permissions and availability. You are responsible for complying with those requirements. A connection does not imply endorsement by the provider or approval of our app by its marketplace.

Where available, actions through agents, workflows or the context gateway can affect connected systems. Your organisation is responsible for deciding which actions to enable, restricting access and applying appropriate review before execution. Do not authorise actions you do not have permission to perform.

Revoking a connection stops future access using that authorisation. It does not by itself delete previously imported content or reverse completed actions. Contact your administrator or support about removal and recovery options.

AI results and responsible use

AI answers, summaries, dashboards and proposed actions can be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated. Check source evidence and review important results before relying on them or taking action. A generated result is not a guarantee that a source is complete or that a business outcome will occur.

The service does not replace professional legal, medical or financial advice. Do not rely solely on AI output to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people, including decisions about employment or access to essential services.

You are responsible for the decisions and actions taken using the service. Set appropriate review and authorisation controls for your use case and the sensitivity of connected information.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful conduct, fraud, harassment, rights infringement, malicious code or unauthorised surveillance. Do not obtain, disclose or process another person’s information without the required authority.

Do not bypass permissions, attempt to access another organisation’s data, probe systems without authorisation, overload the service, or misuse connected accounts and credentials. Follow reasonable technical limits and security instructions.

We may investigate suspected abuse and restrict activity where reasonably necessary to protect the service, affected people or third parties, or to comply with law.

Privacy, security and customer infrastructure

Our Privacy policy describes how personal information is handled. Organisation-controlled content is also subject to the customer agreement and applicable data processing terms. Your organisation is responsible for notices, authorisations and instructions concerning that content.

For customer-operated or bring-your-own-cloud deployments, responsibilities for infrastructure, credentials, access controls, backups, updates and deletion are allocated in the applicable agreement. Hosting part of the service in your cloud does not by itself keep all account administration or external AI processing inside that environment.

Keep your configuration and connected accounts secure and cooperate reasonably when investigating an incident. Do not send secrets or confidential source material through ordinary support email.

Fees, subscriptions and support

Fees, usage allowances, billing periods, renewal, cancellation, taxes and payment terms are those presented in your accepted plan, checkout, order form or customer agreement. Any refund or credit entitlement follows that agreement and applicable law.

Trials and preview features may have limits or additional terms disclosed when offered. Roadmap items, demonstrations and statements about planned features are not commitments to deliver a particular feature or result.

Contact us through Support for account, connection, billing or service issues. Response times, availability targets and other service commitments apply only where expressly agreed; this page does not create an uptime or response-time guarantee.

Availability, changes and suspension

Service availability can be affected by maintenance, security incidents, customer configuration and third-party outages or limits. Features and integrations may change, subject to the applicable agreement and law.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a security threat, serious breach, unlawful use, non-payment under the applicable agreement or a legal requirement. Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent risks may require immediate action.

We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes where required by law or the customer agreement. The date above identifies the current version.

Ending use and handling content

You may stop using the service. Organisation administrators can request closure through support, subject to the subscription and termination provisions in the applicable agreement. Leaving an organisation or closing a personal account does not necessarily delete organisation-owned content.

Export, retention and deletion arrangements follow the customer agreement, available functionality and applicable law. Ask about export or deletion before ending service if your organisation needs assistance. Customers operating their own infrastructure must also manage their own copies and backups.

Ending access does not reverse completed actions in third-party services. Provisions that need to continue after termination, including payment obligations already incurred, ownership and confidentiality, continue as applicable.
